I’ve had a tendancy to over think things in my life. Slowly, I’m learning to find the ways
to silence my “mind chatter” long enough to listen to my heart.
I want to see the big picture of my life’s purpose and allow my mind to be put to use in
service of accomplishing my dreams, rather than leading me down the path of fear and
the unknown.
One of the ways that I’ve learned to value my tendancy to think, but not to overthink,
has been to walk quietly in nature. I don’t listen to music. I remind myself to pay attention
to my surroundings. And I allow myself to listen to the thoughts that arise from that stillness,
like bubbles to the surface of a pond.
This blog is where I’m recording these reflections so that I can not only share them, but so
that I can remind myself of these lessons at those times when I forget!
Because learning is not linear – and I want to support myself in remembering what I’ve learned
and returning to it when I wander off my chosen path.
Enjoy!
